Henrik Tingleff, CPO, Chief CPO, Professional Interests
I have a broad interest in the field of orthotics and prosthetics. For many years, I have worked extensively with orthoses for children, while also making numerous arm and leg prostheses.
Since 2010, I have worked almost exclusively with prosthetics. I am certified in all electronic prosthetic knee joints and electric hands available in Denmark.
I am part of the Osseointegration Clinic at Aarhus University Hospital, where I am responsible for leg and finger prostheses based on the osseointegration principle. In Denmark osseointegration is carried out exclusively in Aarhus.
In addition, I am part of the arm prosthesis outpatient clinic at Aarhus University Hospital. Here I serve as a professional sparring partner for doctors and occupational therapists in the assessment of suitable arm, hand, and finger prostheses.
However, I still make a significant number of orthoses for both children and adults.
One of my specialties is braces for the treatment of Scapula Alata (winged scapula). Over the past 27 years, I have made more than 1,500 braces for this condition.
My primary focus is to restore as much personal freedom as possible and to make life easier for all the clients I work with.
Leisure Interests:
In my spare time, I especially enjoy roller skiing, mountain biking, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in Aarhus Bay.
During winter, I do both alpine and cross-country skiing. I usually participate in some of the long-distance cross-country ski races in Norway or Sweden, such as Birkebeinerrennet or Vasaloppet. I have also been an active winterswimmer since 1996.
Whenever possible, I love to travel and experience the world together with my family.
