Jesper Floecke Larsen, CPO, Chief CPO, Professional Interests
My primary professional interests are among other things, prosthetics for arm and leg deficiencies - so-called dysmelia prosthetics - as well as prosthetics in general, including custom solutions for prosthesis users and high-activity prostheses for both upper and lower limbs.
I am certified in most electronic prostethics for knees and hands, and I also work extensively with Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for individuals with neurological injuries affecting the central nervous system.
In my work, I place great emphasis on involving the user as much as possible in the decision-making process regarding their assistive device, in order to find the right solution for the individual sitting in front of me.
Personal Interests
Privately, I have a great passion for Italy—I enjoy the food, the wine, the language, and traveling through the country.
I take a strong interest in nutrition and exercise and have played quite a bit of squash over the years.
I'm also a big fan of old British motorcycles. Those familiar with them know they tend to spend more time in the workshop than on the road - so I devote a bit of time to that hobby as well, when I'm not spending time with my family and three wonderful daughters.
